Guaitil is a small community located at the foot of the hills, near the road that connects the cities of Santa Cruz and Nicoya, in the province of Guanacaste. It is the seat of one of the main handicraft centers of the country, where they work in ceramic processes similar to those used by the Chorotegas, an indigenous group that exercised their dominion over the territories located between Lake Nicaragua and the Nicoya Peninsula.
